According to the company's website, Proactiv Solution was created to treat mild to moderate cases of acne and may not be effective for people with severe cases. Like most antibacterials for treating acne, Proactiv Solution uses Benzoyl peroxide (found in both the Cleanser and Repairing Lotion) as one of the main active ingredients.
